Questions, answered

Before you order — and after

How long does shipping take?

Plants leave the greenhouse Monday to Wednesday so they never sit in a depot over the weekend. Most orders arrive in 2–5 working days, packed upright with the pot secured and the leaves cushioned.

What if my plant arrives damaged or unhappy?

Every plant is covered by our 30-day root-to-tip promise. Send us a photo within 30 days of arrival and we will replace the plant or refund you — your choice, no interrogation and no return shipping.

Are your plants safe for cats and dogs?

The ones in our Pet-Friendly shelf are, and each product page says so plainly. Calathea, Boston Fern, Money Tree and Parlour Palm are firm favourites in pet households. If a plant is not pet-safe, we say that too — look before you buy.

My room is dark. Can I still grow plants?

Almost certainly. Snake Plants, ZZ Plants and Philodendrons all cope with low light — they just grow more slowly. Our Low Light shelf is built for north-facing rooms and cosy corners, and the care blog has a full guide to reading the light in real rooms.

What pot does my plant arrive in?

Plants ship in their nursery pots (4-inch or 6-inch, sized to the plant) so roots stay undisturbed. Add a hand-thrown EcoPot on any product page to make it gift-ready, or browse Pots & Decor for terracotta and brass.

How do I know when to water?

Each plant arrives with a printed care card giving its own rhythm, and the finger test never lies: if the top inch of soil is dry, water; if it is damp, wait. Our watering guide on the Plant Care page walks through it plant by plant.

Can I send a plant as a gift?

Yes — it is our favourite kind of order. Add a gift note at checkout and we will hand-write it, hide all pricing, and time dispatch so the plant does not travel over a weekend.

Can I ask for help after my plant arrives?

Any time, for the life of the plant. Send a photo through the Contact page and a grower — a human one — will tell you what they see and what to do next.

Still unsure?

Send us a photo of the room and the plant you are eyeing up — a grower will tell you honestly whether they suit each other.
